My lifetime commitment

It’s good to know that I have survived the initial two years of medicine. That means, clinical years all the way from now on. Yuuuuu huuuu! More clinical exposure, less racking my brain over books.

So, the start of this blog is partly to celebrate my increased involvement in the clinical settings. I thought it would be great to record my experience, clinical exposure and all the unique patients I would be meeting from now on. And where better to share all these other than the friendster blog, where all my friends (medic students or no) are gathered in one place.

Medicine is not my love at first sight. I married medicine first, and fall in love with it much, much later. After one year of becoming a medical student, in fact.

Took a long time for me to resign myself to accept that I would be a doctor (two years of IB).To actually like medicine…that took me 6 months of being a medical student. Falling in love with it after that, was a gradual process. I was in the middle of passion before I knew I had begun. Hahahhahah. Uwek Uwek!

So, this blog would be about medicine only. Who knows later, I might suffer through a divorce with medicine. I want to record everything so that unlike my inability to point out exactly when I fall in love with medicine, I would be able to point out exactly when I might have become disillusioned. All I have to do is look back and analyze. If I forget, I could read this.

School would start in another one month. Can’t wait to get into hospital.
